How Can Fluid Retention In The Lungs Be Treated?

My brother has cirosis of liver and has had fluid badly round lungs they operated and they came back and said that he had really thick jelly in lungs and his lungs won t inflate on a suction machine still in hospital he has an infection now they have done biopsy a week ago when they tried to get rid of fluid but nothing has improved at all and no results

Liver cirrhosis can explain the fluid around his lungs which can get infected as well. But as you mentioned that it is jelly like, which means it can't be drained due to its consistency. So you will need to consult a thoracic surgeon for that, who might consider lung decortication surgery or who may think of putting tube in the chest for that. You need to consult a thoracic surgeon.
