How Can Fever And Cold In A Toddler Be Treated?

Hi Sir, My son getting fever night time and cold is there and yellow form is stayed at his eyes some times Can i use amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium oral suspension 400 mg/57mg called Clavam Forte? If I use then, Could you please let me know what dosage have to use for my 21 months old baby

I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

Most probably it could be a part of URTI(upper respiratory tract infection). You don't need to worry as it can be readily curable with timely treatment.
I suggest you to consult a pediatrician and get the following things done:-
(1) Do basic blood and urine investigations.
(2) Paracetamol syrup for fever.
(3) Tepid sponging with tap water can also help to reduce the body temperature.
(4) A short course of antibiotics can be tried empirically. Amoxicillin is the preferred drug for infants.
Most cases subside with in few days with these measures, if symptoms persist despite all these, additional investigations may be required.
