How Can Fever Along With Rashes On The Arms And Legs Be Treated?

Hi, my 8 yr. Old came home with irritated eyes and a headache yesterday from school. Overnight she developed a fever in the morning she had what I thought was a fever rash that went away throughout the day.I ve only given her Tylenol and now gave her allergy medicine. She now has a fever and a red rash on neck arms and torso. Do I wait it out or should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Your child's symptoms are suggestive of viral fever with rash. The fever and rashbusually goes away on its own in 7-10 days and can be managed with staying hydrated and Tylenol. However, please be advised to follow up with with her pediatrician to confirm the diagnosis.

Regards
Dr.Lekshmi
