I have hashimotos. My 16 year old has been have some extreme fatique. I took her to the doctor who said her blood panels cam back with high tsh but normal T4. I did not ask about T3. She did a hasimoto panel and said that was normal. She doesn t think we should treat the TSH but recommended a low dose of Prozac. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
A normal T4 doesn't need to be treated vigorously with any kind of medications. The fatigue could be due to other causes. Continue with Prozac n look for improvements.
