How Can Excessive Vaginal Bleeding After A Hysterectomy Be Treated?
I had a hysterectomy on December 14. I started bleeding the Thursday before new years eve. My doctor said unless I m saturation a pad per hour to relax I m just doing to much. My thing is like with my period blood only comes out when I pee. Its bright red and to me it s stressfull to see this blood. I am still bleeding. Help is this o.
Bleeding after a hysterectomy is usually normal if it occurs within the six-week recovery period, reduces in quantity as the days go by, and if it appears pinkish in color. After the six-week period( which you have gone past) bright red blood is indicative of something else inclusing; reopened wound, untied blood vessel, vaginal injury, or vaginal infection.
I would advice you revist your gynaecologist to review the operation site for proper evaluation.
Thanks
