How Can Ear Congestion Be Treated?
Hi
My mom went fior an ear wax cleaning and the nurse practitiones said her canals were to norrow and she bleed a little bit. She is taking Warfarin.
The nurse prescribed Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates andHydrocortisone Otic suspension for 2 weeks just in case she develops an infection.
She schedule to finish the wax cleaning in 2 weeks.
I apply 3 drops 3 times a day the first day. My mom doesn't have any pain at this moment but the second day bioth ears were plugged. She is scare (she is 76 years old). The second day is today. Should I continue applying the drops or not?
I called the nurse practitioner and the doctor but nobody is available. Please advice if is normal to get both ears plugged and how long they will be like that. Thank you very much.

She should use disinfection with hydrogen peroxide or boric alcohol after every bath.
Continue treatment given by nurse.
Put warm clothes on ear to help plugged ears.
Also after bath can use low grade hair dryer.
