How Can Ear Bleeding Be Stopped?

Went to the urgent care around 1 pm today for what I thought was cotton bud from q tip in ear but the doctor said it came out and everything looks fine and that its a bit red and gave me some antibiotic drops to use but havent picked them up yet from pahrmchy, fast forward to 3pm my ear is bleeding the canal is it a scrape or cut maybe? Doctor said allw as fine now it s bleeding don t have insurance nor money to go back to doctor what can i do?

Hi,

Bleeding from the ear can either be due to infection or injury inside the ear. So if the ear is bleeding and you have to use a Q-tip before then it can be most probably injured.

For now, you can put the ear drop as advised to you and avoid putting anything inside the ear. In case of bleeding does not cease then better consult an emergency room or otorhinolaryngology for ruling out the exact cause.
