I had a colonoscopy...and the finding was a limited to transverse colon.. Sigmoid diverticulosis noted. Recommend ct colonography vs barium enema for a further evaluation of the colon. I considered surgical evaluation for recurrent diverticulitis... I don t want a bag
Surgery is the last resort for diverticulosis. Symptoms persist you can go for resection of affected part of the bowel. Colostomy( bag) is not required in your case.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
