General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Surgery is the last resort for diverticulosis. Symptoms persist you can go for resection of affected part of the bowel. Colostomy( bag) is not required in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
