How Can Difficulty In Bending The Knees Be Treated?

This is the second time i now have knee effusion. Both times i have no pain, but i am unable to bend it all the way (walking is fine but impossible to sit geisha style). I don t recall any trauma associated with either case of knee effusion. I am negative for rheumatoid arthritis, however i did have Lyme s disease that was untreated for a year until i took antibiotics. I want to know, what exactly could be causing my knee effusion and how can i make it stop permanently
