General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can sometimes be difficult to change a baby over from milk to eating foods. In general though, cow's milk is not advised in babies less than 1 year because they cannot digest or break it down properly which means that their body's cannot use it to help them grow. It also does not contain what is needed for brain growth.

The isomil is a better choice or another baby formula. Food is also started from age 4 to 6 months because at one year, which would be in 2 months for your daughter, she is supposed to be able to eat anything that you eat. Since it can sometimes be hard to know how to get them to use solids and she needs to be started as soon as possible, you may want to consider speaking to her doctor.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
