How Can Depression And Anxiety Be Treated?

Dear Dr. my age is 28, I am bachelor & working as a Manager in a reputed company and staying away from my hometown and family since last 8.6 years. My weight is 52 kgs & height is 5 2 feet. I am very strong hearted guy in my school days but now as the time passes I felt that I am getting scared for small small things, thinking a lot on small issues which lead me to surround from negative thoughts and flurry. In childhood i suffered from Pneumonia and Dr. have given me a pump to inhale and several other medications & also I have taken painkillers sometimes to get rid of headache, knee pain etc. I also want to tell you that I am chewing Tobacco (Gutkha) since last 5 years. I want to quit the habit of Gutkha and want to live with a strong heart and mind. Please consult me how to get rid of my unusual depression, fear and Gutkha habits

Look Gutkha habit is definitely not a good one. You can Quit Gutkha by Strong will power only.

I would like to suggest you to start doing the following things :

1. Ensure to have 8 hours of proper sleep.
2. To have Healthy life style & nutritious diet that too on time.
3. Start giving Time to yourself... Live your one of hobby also.. Join some club / sports.
4. Try to be a bit social among your friends.

Try to call and talk to your old school friends/relatives to whom you have not spoken for long!

All the above steps will make you feel happy from inside. Thus depression / negativity will go away on its own.

If at all you feel like you are unable to do all the above things. And not able to come out of the negativity. Then there are medicines available which can be helpful for you.
