How Can Depression Along With Anxiety Be Treated?
I am looking for an effective anti depressant to discuss with my health care providor. I struggle with my weight and am looking for medications that weight gain is not a side effect. I have taken wellbutrin in the past but feel I need something for anxiety as well.

Hi,
You are right, The common drug used for anxiety and depression are SSRIs. But as you said rightly, most of the SSRI cause weight gain.
However, if weight gain is an issue, we generally prefer Fluoxetine which may rather cause weight loss.
Other options are Tricyclic drugs like amitriptyline, etc. Though they may have few more side effects especially sedation.
