How Can Continuous Fever Due To Typhoid Be Treated?

Hello Doctor, I had typhoid last month and the temperature was between 99 to 100. My doctor prescribed me Cefixim O 2 doses of 10 each (1-0-1). But still the fever continued, based on doc advise I took Olcefone 2 through IV in saline for 3 days and my fever subsided and I started to work normal for 2 weeks and I had only home food and avoided spicy food. Suddenly last week the fever started once again. The next day when I went to the doctor he prescribed me Praxin 500 for 5 days (got over yesterday)and after completing this the fever is continuing. What should I do? Should I take any additional tests? I can feel the fever in the morning around 10 am and in the eve around 4 PM.

Hi,

As your fever has not subsided for too long and you have been using different antibiotics. Yes it is advisable to do more test. its better you do CBC LFT's and Rft's along with Urine R/e.

Its better a doctor should find source of your fever clinically. If not found he should also send blood culture and sensitivity test too. If you have cough along with fever, Chest X-ray should be done too.
