How Can Constant Loose Motions With Mucus Be Treated For An Infant?

Hi dr....my son 10 month old is passing stools full of mucus 3-4 times a day frm past 5-6 days. He is active with no fever. Gave him rinnifol no imlrovement.. dr gave him o2 syrup but it iz too bitter he is nt taking. Wat shud i do.anh other antibiotic??

Hi,

The loose motions with mucus indicate underlying intestine infection. Though the taste of syrup is bitter, you have to manage it to cure the infection. Should discuss the need for zinc suspension with his doctor for faster recovery.
