How Can Colitis And Diarrhea Be Treated?

Went to eergency room last night and had Ct scan. Diagnosed with colitis. Dr said to drink magnesium citrate. Had 2 bottles and still have not cleared bowels today. Have a little diarrhea each time I go to bathroom but that s it. Would it be ok to use a fleet enema?
