How Can Cold Be Treated?

Husband has a cold at the moment. Last night, he took night nurse tablets but thinks one went down the wrong hole. He has been sick every 2/3 hours since this episode. He’s hardly bringing anything up now as he hasn’t eaten since last night but he’s still being sick. What should we do?

Thanks for asking.

I understand your concern.
I feel the sickness is not due to going pill in wrong hole(the hole nearby is respiratory passage &it would cause immediate coughing reflex to throw out the thing that has entered ) but because of hyperacidity caused by taking pills empty stomach. The sickness (nausea) would be relieved by taking a pill of antacids like Ranitidine with tablet perinorm (only single dose) over the counter.
Taking sips of cold milk would help in digesting it.
In case of no response, see your family physician for necessary injectable medicine.
