How Can Clogged Ears Be Treated?

I ve had chest congestion for the past several days, coughing up mucus(clear to slightly yellow). My ears have also been partially clogged where my hearing is fairly diminished. I ve no pain or discomfort aside from the reduced hearing. How can I unclog my ears?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Clogged ears with congestion may be due to allergy or acute viral bronchitis or infection etc. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks and alcohol. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
