How Can Chronic Sinusitis Be Treated?

Hello doctor Iam a chronic sinusitis patient 2 years from now I was on ttt by local corticosteroids and hypertonic solutions since then also I am on systemic antihistaminc since 2 years Recently I caught a flu and huge exacerbation happened to me I had unilateral headache specially on leaning forward it s on the left side I took a course of systemic antibiotics for 15 days of macrolides (klacid xl) and qoinilones (tavanic) Now I don t feel really well I did nasal and paranasal sinuses ct and it shows left sphenoidal sinus opacification and maxillary antrum polypoidal thickening extending to antrum It also shows deviated septum to the left Please please doctor what is the best solution for my condition lam afraid and worry Thank you doctor

Hello,

Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

As a first line management, a short course of antibiotics can be tried.

Do steam inhalation and saline nasal drops also. If symptoms persist it is better to go for surgical correction.

You can opt for minimal invasive procedures like FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery.)
