General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For a dry cough rule out underlying cause if present like bronchitis, allergic inflammation, acid reflux, pharyngitis etcetera. For that Auscultation, posterior pharynx examination and CBC report can be done.

If no underlying specific cause present, then Dextromethorphan tablet can be prescribed. You can take one tsp lemon juice mix with honey. One teaspoon of turmeric powder with hot milk also beneficial. Consult the physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
