hi sir/mam,you have helped me a lot by giving a very detailed history of your illness.thank you.your symptoms suggest a lower respiratory tract infection with concomitant sinus infection.your respiratory and heart rate are not that high.so just relax and your illness can be relieved with few medications as follows:
1)firstly you need to take paracetamol 650mg every 6hrly and if required also cold sponging.
2)respiratory antibiotic is necessary.beta lactams are very effective as first line.amoxicillin-clavulanate combination thrice daily for 5 days.(its not an OTC drug)
3)tab.wikoryl(paracetamol+caeffine+chlorpheniramine+phenylephrine)
can be taken twice daily for 3 days.but as it contains, paracetamol
avoid double dosing.
4)steam inhalation is also very important.
5)last but not the least is have more more of oral fluids to prevent dehydration.
6)if nasal congestion is severe, you can go for oxymetazoline or zylometazoline nasal drops.
if you dont have any improvement in 2-3 days or if it worsens, kindly consult a physician.hope you get my point.thank you.if any other queries,i'm ready to answer.take care.bye.
