How Can Chest Congestion Be Treated While Suffering From Pneumonia?

Ok Doc My roomy had double pneumonia and was on IV antibiotics in hospital than at home more follow up meds (strong antibiotics) I got him a bottle of Pertussin DM then and his congestion went away but comes back when he stops taking it?He is a cancer patient wit two blood cancers stage 4 leukemia and polycythemia he s scheduled to see his Doc on Tuesday.

I am sorry for the health problems your roomy is going through.

Pneumonia is a common complication in patients with weakened immune system (like stage 4 leukemia he has).

I advise to get another pertussin dm until you see his doctor on Tuesday.
