How Can Chest Congestion And Cough Be Treated?

I have steadily been getting worse lung congestion since a bad cold two weeks ago. Tonight now I am ciughing a lot, starting to sound like whooping cough. Pretty sure it is walking pneumonia now. Do they use antibiotics to cure folks of this affliction?

As per your query your daughter have chest congestion and cough which is due to chest infection. Need not to worry much. Avoid taking cold carbonated beverages. Visit pulmonologist once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done. You should go for pulmonary function tests as well to check exact level of infection. You need inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug. You should use mist humidifiers in room , drink warm water with one spoon honey and ginger extract. Take steam several times a day , which will be very helpful and take anti histamine.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
