How Can Chapped Lips Be Treated?

I tend to get really dry lips & when the skin start cracking I peel it off as I hate the feeling of dry lips. I have a habit of peeling it. I now have two small bumps on my top lip where I would peel the skin constantly and was wondering how to make it go away. My lip looks swollen and lopsided now. I have had the same spots on my bottom lip before also when I constantly peeled skin in on spot.

It is pretty straightforward. This is caused either by loss of moisture or by irritation to the lips. Mouth breathing causes increased evaporation. some foods may cause irritation. some medications causing dry mouth can of course also trigger chapped lips. Any lip balm helps by putting an oil barrier acrosee the lips and also smoothing them. And this is the first thing that should be tried.
