Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last week and a half my lips have been very chapped on the liner of my lips...and on the inside of my lips they feel kinda raw...im constantly using carmax which I ve never had to use it. If u know what the ridges on a prune or a medjool looks like that s what my lips feel like when I roll my tongue over it. Would u have any idea what this may be
So my suggestion is to apply thick coat of Petroleum jelly over the lips.. Do cool compresses.. Do cool water rinses to reduce inflammation on the inside of the lips.. Drink plenty of water.. Take B complex supplements daily.. Avoid spicy and irritant foods..
If there is no improvement in a week, consult an Emergency room or a physician and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards..

Hi.. Thanks for the query.. It looks like inflammation of the lips and can be probably due to severe dryness that can be cause by a number of factors like dehydration, sun damage, stress, nutritional deficiency, fungal infection, allergic reaction etc.. Regards..
