How Can Carpal Tunnel Syndrome In The Right Hand Be Treated?

Hi, I have carpal tunnel in my right hand. I had an injury in May 2017, where I tore the ligament in my wrist that attaches the radial & ulnar bones at the wrist. I have constant pain in the wrist as well as on the ulnar side of my wrist. My entire hand falls asleep, sometimes it starts on the thumb side & sometimes the numbers starts on the pinky side& if I don t move, lightly shake my wrist my whole hand will be numb, and start burning and will fall completely asleep. The regular ortho doc is sending me to a hand surgeon. Why does my whole hand go numb? Is there anything I can do to prevent it from going numb & being painful? Thank you, Roxy YYYY@YYYY
