How Can Burning Sensation And Swelling On The Penis Be Treated?
Hello My boyfriend and I had sex few days ago and my period during the intercourse.. after 4 days my period was pretty much over but when we had sex again he said he felt a burning sensation on his penis and that it's like the skin is irritated and even in the following morning it was still burning him and there was a bit of swelling. What kind of treatment can he take to treat the symptoms?
Hello dear I understand your concern Burning sensation and swelling could be due to balanitis. It mainly caused by fungal infection I would suggest to consult dermatologist for examination and undergo urethral swab test and STD screening test to confirm cause. Following treatment will help you: Gently retract foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis Apply pancroma cream Apply candid cream Tablet funconazole can be useful Wear pure cotton loose inner and keep area clean and dry Avoid intercourse till he will get better Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet Hope this may help you
Contact further if follow up needed Best regards Dr. Sagar
