How Can Bruising On The Body After Taking Plavix Be Treated?

My 79 year old father started taking Plavix about 2 months ago. He has had bruising which I know is a side effect, but now the bruising is from his wrists to his elbows. Should he go to an emergency room? He is on vacation in another state and wants to know if he can wait two before seeing his primary care doctor?

In my opinion if any medication is having side effects on you, you should better stop that medication. And yes consult a doctor as soon as possible.
