How Can Bruises On The Arms Be Treated?
In Both my arms I have crepey skin that bruise and bleed ,when I bump in to something like today I passed and rubbed by a wooden chair corner and my skin just lifted and peeled up and bled. Temporarily placed a band aid went home tried to remove the band aid and the skin got red as I was pulling the band aid on both sides of the band aid area. The bruises take weeks to heal but leave a darker skin spot that last a long time. I m 70 years old male take steroid pills prescribed from my doctor for myestenia gravis I have type 2 sugar taken metformin and prandin high blood pressure medicine multivitamins and vitamin D 2x a day please let me know if I need to visit my skin doctor. Thanks

You need to see your physician. Such bruising could be a sign of low platelet count and it can be very serious as sometimes internal bleeding can occur.
