How Can Breathing Difficulty Be Treated?

I had a triple heart bypass almost a yera ago ,after a week i had breathing problem. I had a second operation from the back to remove blood clots,after that i wasfine for two months. Since january 2017 i have breathing problem. Echo has been done twice and its fine. Waiting for lung function test. Its the left lung .can you please tell me what could be wrong or done to improve my breathing.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Possible cause is COPD, especially when you are a smoker or has got a previous history of smoking. Other causes may be pulmonary embolism. Treatment can be planned based on your pulmonary function test. You might require nebulizers and bronchodilators.
