How Can Blood Pressure Levels Be Kept Under Control?
My dr. Just prescribed b/p meds. Because it was extremely high I m taking lisinopril 20mg and atenolol25mg together in the morning. And day before tester day at 4:45pm my pressure went way up so I called next day and she told me to the another lisinopril in the afternoon but my pressure isn t bad right then so I didn t take it! Should I take it anyways!
If the blood pressure was normal at the time, then the extra medication may not have been needed.
Atenolol is not used as commonly now to treat high blood pressure though it is an okay medication. You may need additional meds to help keep your blood pressure normal. Some persons need a small dose of diuretic to get rid of excess salt.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
