General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problems you are encountering related to nose block and plugged ears is due to nasal congestion and mucosal oedema due to cold.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Take Syrup containing Ambroxol, Chlorpheniramine maleate and Phenylephrine as ingredients which would help to relieve congestion by their mucolytic, anti-allergic and decongestant activity.
2. Take steam inhalation, which will help to liquefy mucous and facilitate easy mobilisation and drainage.
3. Put Oxymetazoline nasal drops, which will help to relieve nasal congestion.
4. Avoid consumption of cold items like cool drinks and ice cream.
Once the nasal congestion and mucosal oedema subsides, you will be relieved of the symptoms.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
