Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
After doing an endoscopy I got to know that I have antral gastritis. My doctor prescribed me sompraz 40 and pepsigard gel for 6 weeks from 14 to may 2017. During this time from last 2 weeks thrush is coming out from my inner cheek only in morning. But if I am not brushing at night that comes, but with a very tiny little thickness. And I have had a history of 4 years smoking. Now staying far away from it for last 3 months. Should I be worried?? Please help..
Thrush is not related to gastritis or endoscopy. It may be due to fungal infection affecting the oral cavity. You can apply Clotrimazole mouth paste for symptomatic relief. If the problem persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
