Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have anal pain. It hurts when I sit down and I feel constipated. Also, my bowel is not solid. I did notice that I was coughing a lot and I am thinking I might have hurt my anal/rectum. What do you think it might be? Which specialist should I go to? Gastroenterologist?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Anal pain is mostly related to the presence of an anal fissure. However, there are other causes. You have to consult your doctor for clinical assessment as well as other tests.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
