How Can An Itchy Scab On The Foot Be Treated?

My child seems to have what looks like a bit on the side of her foot and I m debating on whether or not to take her to the hospital. It has what looks like a small scab like center (was like a pimple this morning) and a white middle then red surrounds the white and is kinda bubbly. Any advice? It seems to be itching her.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Scab on the foot may be due to impetigo or eczema or callus formation or tenia infection or folliculitis etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please you can use Mupirocin ointments locally. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
