How Can An Insect Bite On The Ankle Be Treated?

I was bitten on my ankle 5 times by an insect sunday. The bites presented themselves as normal bug bites. the next night I was shaving and notices a single red ring around all 5 bites, The rings shape follows the shape of the bites. It itches a bit, no pain, and no other symptoms. As of now, appears to be fading.

Hi,

It looks like the rings are due to areas of inflammation that is localized at the area of bites and itching is due to mild allergic reaction at the bite areas.

If it seems to be fading then you need not worry as it will get better soon.

To let it resolve faster you can apply a steroid ointment like Betamethasone over it and do cool compresses over the area. Avoid scratching it as it can cause infection.

If there is too much itching you can take antihistamines like Levocetirizine for reducing itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
