How Can An Infected Wound On The Wrist Be Treated?

Hi, I have a self harm wound on my wrist that is slightly painful when I use my wrist and is weeping a clear liquid. It bled a little last night though it didn t before. The wound was greenish yellow colour and was quite red before I applied antiseptic. The greenish colour is now white and it is not as red around. What care should I do for this wound now?

Hello,

You should clean the wound with Iodine daily and try to apply iodine or betadine ointment. Keep the wound open and don't cover it. Do not use water until it's healed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
