How Can An Infected Cyst In The Armpit Be Treated?
a last year ago I had an infected cyst in my right armpit that returned 3 months in a row, then Feb 2017 walking pneumonia infection caught early. Since then when any cool item is next to my skin (even room temp h20 in my water bottle only out in air cond. rm.) my skin gets bright red (like a sunburn) and proceeds to itch. If my fingers get cold the itch intensily. I take a generic zyertec most days for allergies.
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern. Some advices that I can give to you are: -Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, open (lance), or puncture the cyst. -Keep the area clean by washing the cyst and surrounding skin well with an antibacterial soap. -Apply warm, wet washcloths -If the lump begins to drain pus, apply a bandage to keep the draining material from spreading. Its a bacterial infection so,it needs antibiotics to be treated. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help. Regards, dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
