Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Dr. I am 66 and just today when I went for normal yearly check up, it is found out my prostrate is enlarged grade 1. 44x38x36 VOLUME 32.7 PVR 35CC. My urination is normal. What shall I do now. Shall I go for more medical aid. Please Advise me DSR
I am of the opinion that as long as you do not have any urinary symptoms like urgency, frequency or precipitancy, there's no need to take any medical aid at this juncture. However, I advise you to get prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test done. PSA is a substance produced in your prostate the levels of which increase when you have an enlarged prostate, infection, surgery or prostate cancer.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
