General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Symptoms of ear infections usually improve within the first couple of days, and most infections clear up on their own within one to two weeks without any treatment.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Put a warm compress. Placing a warm, moist washcloth over the affected ear may lessen pain.
-Pain medication such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to relieve pain.
-Antibiotics may be necessary if is a bacterial infection. You can start with augmentine 625 mg for 7 days,1 tb a day.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
