For the past 9yrs I have been dealing with a brrast absess in my right breast and now I have gotten them in my left. I have asked for my breast to be removed but everytime I mention it to a surgeon they don t want to do it. Please tell me why. I am in pain and they won t go away. I have had multiple surgery and no one can seem to fix it so why can t I have them removed. Don t bother I will get my answers another way without having to pay
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Breast abscess is caused due to infection in the breast tissue. If the infection is superficial and small, it can be treated with a course of appropriate antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. However, if the infection is deep, it needs to be attended surgically. Under aseptic precautions, the abscess needs to be explored by means of incision and drainage. The wound is allowed to heal and wound care needs to be taken by means of proper sterile dressing. Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
