How Can Allergic Skin Reaction On The Lips Be Treated?

So my lips get kind of wrinkly when really dry. They feel as if I just ate a bag of sunflower seeds that feeling of eating a lot of salt. My lips are a little red almost in the inner part of my lips. At the beginning they were a little patchy with some bumps not a lot though. The bumps have almost disappeared but they are still red and they burn and irritate with spicy or salty foods. It s been a week since this has happened. I thought it was the case of a really bad sunburn on my lips. I used Carmex it was a new flavor they cherry kind. When I first started using that lip balm that s when this started. /9 I started thinking maybe it was an allergic reaction of some sort. I have not a clue what it could be but it feels soothing when I put Vaseline. They don t hurt when left alone only when I eat spicy foods or salty foods is when it irritates. maybe it s the weather messing them up too. They are getting a lot better though so I guess that s good I guess.

As a first line management, you can take antihistamines like cetirizine for symptomatic relief.

If lesion persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
