Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your rhinitis may possibly be allergic or infectious, may be due to acute/chronic bronchitis. asthma. The allergic condition may result at any time so don't exclude the possibility of your dog. Follow the below instructions to alleviate the problems:

1. Stay away from dander, dust, and pollen.
2. Take copious amount of water. Avoid cold drinks and food.
3. Use water vaporizer as many times as possible.
4. Gargle with salt water and sleep with a humidifier.
5. Use Ascaril cough syrup.

If symptoms persist even after 2 weeks consult a pulmonologist to do a bronchoscopy to assess and give further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
