How Can Allergic Red Bumps On The Hands And Legs Be Treated?

I have an 8 month old and he is teething as well as has a cold. I have been giving him meds for both and I think he is having a minor allergic reaction to it because he has little red bumps on his legs and a few on his upper body and hands. Can I give him benadryl for it and if so how much?

Hello!

Thanks for using healthcaremagic.com

I read carefully your question and understand your concern.

For allergies, do not use in children under 1 year of age (Reason: it is a sedative). For flu, it is not recommended at any age (Reason: There is no proven benefit) and should be avoided if you are less than 4 years old. Avoid multiple ingredient products in children under 6 years of age.

Hope it helps.

Dr. Oscar Martinez
