How Can Allergic Rashes On The Face And Neck Be Treated?

I have poison ivy on my neck and face in spots. I am severely allergic to all ragweed plants as well. I just took 2 of the hydroxozine. Do I just take 2 a day or can I take more while dealing with this. Of course, I am trying to keep it from spreading too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the poison ivy you are having on your neck and face.

Hydroxozine is an anti-histamine that will help reduce inflammation. You can take up to 100 mg /day. Depending on the dose of the tablet you took, you can take more tablets but not exceeding 100 mg/day.

Apply hydrocortisone and fusidic acid cream locally for speedy recovery.
If no improvement, should go to ER as might need injection therapy.

Wish fast recovery.
