How Can Allergic Insect Bites On The Neck And Head Be Treated?

have three bites on one arm and three on another one on my neck one on my head not sure what bite me, mosquito or spider, areas are swollen red and very hot to the touch, draining and itching extremely bad. started taking mupirocin 2% ointment and prednisone 20 mg. no relief

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

It looks like there is infection at the sites of insect or spider bites and due to it there has been inflammation, itching and discharge..

I would suggest you to continue to apply Muricoprin that is antibiotic ointment only and along with it you should also take a short script of antibiotic orally to reduce infection faster.

Also do cool compresses over the swollen areas so that the heat is reduced and the redness and swelling resolves better..
Also avoid scratching the area as it can cause spread of infection..
