How Can Allergic Insect Bite On The Body Be Treated?

I went camping over the weekend. I used bug replant but have several bites all around my body. The areas are very itchy but now my whole body feels itchy including the back of my hands and palms. What can I do other then Benadryl ? Is it an allergic reaction to the bug bites ?
