How Can A Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck Be Treated?
I woke up 2 days ago feeling like there was something stuck in my throat on the right side. Yesterday it hurt slightly when swallowing, burning when sipping wine. I noticed a lump on the right side of my neck about 1 inch from the middle of my neck. I am having a hard time get tylenol to pass down my throat. The feeling of something stuck disappeared yesterday as well.
It looks like a swollen lymph node leading to pain during swallowing and as it has occurred during last 2 days it is appearing to be probably due to infection.. As the infection commonly occurs due to bacterial infection therefore a proper treatment should be taken.. It can also be due to infection in nearby regions that drains into these specific group of lymph nodes.. You should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated so that you can be advised a script of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. You should also do warm saline gargles and also do cool compresses over the swelling..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
