How Can A Spinal Cord Injury Be Treated?

How safe is it for a chiropractor to adjust the spine of some one who was involved in an accident 6 weeks ago which left them a paraplegic. They crushed their L1 and had surgery to put a cage and rods in to help support the back. They are struggling with headaches, nausea and leg pain. They are in a brace for at least 6 more weeks but meds don t seem to be helping with the headaches, nausea and leg pain. Very hard to rehab dealing with all this. It was suggested by a friend we have a spine adjustment to alleviate these problems. Not sure this is wise??

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

I would always suggest a neurosurgeon because I don’t want anybody to take chances when it comes to the spine as it is very very important.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
