How Can A Spider Bite Infection On The Stomach Be Treated?

I recently got bitten by an unknown type of spider on my stomach that pus and a venom sac I removed from it. I went to the Dr. who prescribed me Bactrim. I ve been on it for seven days and it has not gotten any better and is still draining. I have taken Cephalexin for spider bites previously and it worked excellent. Need advice as I am having knee replacement surgery and this infection needs to be gone fast.

Hi,

You may get done culture and sensitivity of the pus from the lesion and get treated accordingly.

You may use local antibiotics and take anti-inflammatory medication.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
