Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can A Recurring Lymphocele In The Leg Be Treated?
My mother had a triple bypass, and when they harvested the vein in the left leg if formed a lymphocele. The cardiologist cut open, drained and packed for a couple of months. Needless to say she ended up having it surgically removed, and now it is back. What can she do? And...who is the best person to see about this recurring, painful mass?
In my clinic , I recommend regular foot elevation, compression stockings with other supportive care. As the surgery may also give recurrence, I would recommend to discuss the issue precisely with a vascular surgeon thoroughly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
